Authorities Search For Art Thief
- (WILMINGTON) -- Police and the F-B-I are searching for clues in connection with the theft of a priceless Chihuly vase from the Delaware Art Museum. Officials say the vase was on loan to the museum, and was stolen sometime last Friday while the museum was open. Surveillance cameras have not revealed anything so far. (The glass vase disappeared, even though it was being watched by surveillance cameras and two security guards. The piece by the Tacoma artist is valued between 12 and 18-thousand dollars.) Officials say a reward is offered to anyone with information about the theft.

TORONTO, April 7 (Reuters) - Adolf Hitler has left the building -- at least a life-sized model of him has been stolen from a Niagara Falls, Ontario, wax museum.
A wax likeness of the German tyrant, dressed in full Nazi uniform, was taken from a locked glass case at the Criminals Hall of Fame wax museum on Monday.
Staff at the wax museum, which houses images of such famous criminals as Charles Manson, Billy the Kid, and Bugsy Siegel, have an idea who walked out with Hitler, his biographical card, and even the light that illuminated the display.
Kim Conlon, a cashier at the Criminals Hall of Fame, said a group of visitors, around 30 to 35 years old, seemed a little drunk when they entered the museum on Monday. One of them talked to the on-duty cashier, while the rest went in. They likely walked out arm-in-arm with the wax figure.
The museum is not pursuing the culprits and expects to absorb the loss.
``They (the group) paid for 12 people, but my bosses lost C$6,000,'' said Conlon, adding the museum will probably replace the Hitler figure by the height of the summer tourist season. There is no reward for the return of the wax figure.
The theft has provided the museum with much-needed publicity during the off-season. The phones have been ringing off the hook since the theft with people asking ``have you found Hitler yet?'' Conlon said.
